About:
The owner of Poppy Design was looking for a new corporate identity. She approached SintLucas who instructed me and a number of other designers to realize this. For this assignment, as with the other assignments that contain a logo, I made 3 different sketches. All three of them contain a different target group and element of what Poppy Design radiates. Because her art falls under the style category 'kitsch' I applied this to one of the sketches. The use of the round shapes and dot pattern give a
craft-like and playful atmosphere, just like her collage art. This sketch was ultimately chosen by Poppy Design for me to develop. I then based the rest of the branding on the style of the logo (shown in the business cards, letter paper and website design).
Here on the left, you can see the difference between the sketch and the final version. The difference can be big sometimes! Even though the client did not ultimately choose my concept, I enjoyed this assignment very much.
